Students have the opportunity to work in teams to solve problems focused on health challenges unique to urban communities. Project teams include both undergraduate and graduate students from public health, medicine, business, computer science, design, and other areas across the campus.
Students gain paid professional experience while working with UIC faculty researchers and partners from OSF HealthCare. Throughout the project, students will learn and implement user research techniques, prototyping and testing methods, and gain valuable presentation skills.
Project timelines range from a single semester to multiple years depending on the desired outcome, complexity, and scope of the project.
Student positions will be posted as they become available.
