Launch of new accelerator program to support startups
The UIC Startup Network Accelerator Program connects entrepreneurs to funding, mentors, and educational resources.
UIC is a hub of innovation and cutting-edge research with a commitment to discovery and solving real-world problems. Our researchers push the boundaries of traditional research to find new ways to innovate and translate ideas to practical application, yet the trajectory from discovery to successful startup is often a challenge.
The UIC Startup Network was created to catalyze the creation of new ventures, and the accelerator program helps do this by facilitating connections to critical expertise and early-stage funding. Members of the Network's advisory group, which includes successful entrepreneurs and former industry executives, volunteer their time to advise program participants and make introductions to potential investors.
We're looking for innovators who are passionate about starting a company. Our goal is to turbocharge the growth of 2-5 startups a year. After successfully completing the program, each startup becomes part of the UIC Startup Network alumni family. As the program grows, the network grows - providing more opportunities for partnerships, mentorship and domain expertise, connections to capital, and so much more.
Why apply?
- Access to a world-class network of mentors and advisors
- Direct connections to investors and strategic corporate partners
- Convenient training and educational programming
The program is open to all UIC faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Applications will be accepted through the end of the year.
